There are several customization options for the payment-related elements on Checkify checkout page

Updated over 4 months ago

Checkify customers can customize several options for the payment-related elements on their single-page checkouts.

  • Show express checkout buttons under the shipping address block

Repositioning of the buttons (Link, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal Buy Now) is useful on mobile devices, when selling digital products, or simply when you want to test a different style for your custom checkout page. If enabled, the buttons will be moved below the page and appear under the shipping address (details) form.

  • Stripe: Use shipping address as billing address of alternative payment methods

Some payment methods, for example Afterpay, require collection of additional information such as full address, first and last name, etc. You can let your buyer complete these fields right in the payment form of the selected method, or, if your shipping form allows, collect and this information at the stage of entering the data to the appropriate fields of Checkify's shipping form. And then share it with the payment method. It would save some time for buyers when they are redirected from the checkout and are asked to complete this information which is basically the same.

  • Stripe: Initial collapse payment methods

If enabled, it is possible to collapse all payment methods on the checkout page. The buyers can see payment options in different modes of representation (designs). You may test, collect feedback and understand which one is more convenient for them. The example is shown in the image below:

  • Stripe: To display payment methods vertically using an accordion

You can customize the payment elements' layout to fit your checkout flow. The image below shows the same payment element rendered using different layout configurations:

The default state is Tabs. If the trigger (switch) is set as "Active", you can see the available payment methods displayed vertically, as an Accordion.

  • Don't send products names to payment systems (High Risk products)

This means sending product names to the description of a transaction can be disabled or enabled. The feature is applied to PayPal and Adyen.

  • Send products names to Stripe payment system

Disabled for all merchants by default. Checkify does not share product information, i.e. titles / descriptions, with this payment processor, since it is not a required information for them.

NOTE: It is not possible to disable Checkout URL transmission, since it is required by any payment system. So, the checkout unique ID will be passed anyway. Additionally, the meta data we pass will include myshopify store ID, so it is possible to distinguish transactions coming to the same Stripe, but from different sources (stores).
