How to connect Bing / Microsoft Ads

If you run ad campaigns on Bing (Microsoft ads), this tracking feature is a must have for data-driven decisions.

Before your begin

  • Sign up or login to a Bing Ads account here.

Create UET tag or use an existing one

1. Follow the steps provided by Microsoft to create your UET tag. In the last step, click Copy in the View UET tag tracking code box.

Alternatively, find and use an existing UET tag. In the Microsoft Advertising control panel navigate to Tools > Conversion tracking > UET tag.

3. Copy an ID of your tag as seen in the top right area of the pop-up:

4. Paste or enter this number to your Checkify admin panel:

5. Click Save changes button and double-check that your integration is Active. If the trigger is grey, as shown below, click to enable it.

Create Conversion event

Checkify can send two events: checkout and purchase. Adapt and optimize your Bing ads for these events:

  1. Log in to your Microsoft advertising account.

  2. In the menu at the top of the page navigate to Tools > Conversion Goals.

  3. Click on Create Conversion Goal.

  4. Navigate to Website > Next.

  5. Click on Purchase.

  6. Click on Event and enter the details as described below:

    • Enter a name for the event (e.g.: for Checkout put the name checkout, for Purchase put the name purchase).

    • Change Revenue to Conversion action value may vary (for example, by purchase price). Checkify will be replacing this data with the real value when sending an event.

    • Change the currency to your required currency.

    Click Next.

  7. Click on Yes, the UET tag was already installed on my website pages.

  8. Click on Save and Next.

  9. Click on Track event on page load.

  10. Click on Next and then click Done.
