X, formerly Twitter, offers objective-based campaigns, in which brands only pay for the actions that align with their goals and expand their reach. Users of X network can follow your brand from a promoted post / ad, as well as immediately click through back to your site.
In this article:
1. Setting up X Pixel (Twitter Website Tag)
To connect X to Checkify, you will need your Twitter Pixel ID, Checkout initiated Event ID and Purchase Event ID. Not sure where to find it? Just go to:
For Twitter Pixel ID:
In “Events manager”, in the top part of the page, click “Copy” for the pixel you would like to implement.
And paste the ID you got into the "X Pixel ID" field in the Checkify admin panel:

For Checkout initiated Event ID and Purchase Event ID:
You need to create these events first. Click “Add events” button.
2. On the “Event details” screen, enter the name for the event. From "Type" dropdown, choose the type of action you would like to track: Checkout initiated or Purchase. Click “Next”.
3. On the “Setup method” screen, you will be able to choose how you want to define your event. Select “Define event with code” and click “Next”.
4. In the “Event installation” screen, you can see three tabs at the top, which allow you to access the instructions for your preferred installation approach. Select "Conversion API" and copy Event ID:
Complete these actions for "Checkout initiated" and "Purchase" events and then paste the values you got into the appropriate fields in the Checkify admin panel, Twitter Ads Tracking.

You can also use your existing events. In “Events manager” of your Twitter ads cabinet, find the event you would like to implement.
2. Checking integration and events
To make sure the X Pixel is active on your checkout, you can install a browser extension that will show you the available events and values — Twitter Pixel Helper.
Install Twitter Pixel Helper on your Chrome browser.
Place test order on your store's Checkify checkout and start by checking the extension for the "Purchase" event.

NOTE: You may not be able to see the Twitter Website Tag in Twitter Pixel Helper extension because of cookie blockers. Even if you don't have any specific extensions to block cookie files, your browser still can do that.
If you see this message, please ignore it:
If Twitter Pixel Helper can't track the X Pixel (Twitter Website Tag) on your checkout page, try again using an Incognito tab. By doing so you will disable all possible cookie blockers.
To check the Twitter Website Tag in Incognito mode you need to enable using Twitter Pixel Helper in such a mode mode. Go to the extension's settings to do so.Here's how to do this in Google Chrome browser:
1. Right-click on the Twitter Pixel Helper icon in the bookmarks bar, usually top-right corner of the browser's window. Select "Manage Extensions". Or press the three vertical dots next to the icon of the extension to open "More options" menu and select "Manage extension".

3. Resolving common issues
🙀 My X Pixel (Twitter Website Tag) works in the test mode, but I don't receive real events.
Unfortunately, some of your customers use browsers with cookie blockers, which affect the tracking quality for all pixels. We are trying to use server-side integration for those platforms that support it: Facebook, TikTok are already covered.
