Snapchat analytics helps target correct audiences and boosts Shopify sales. We offer a smooth Snap Pixel integration to provide accurate checkout events information. This social network might just be the correct instrument to find new audiences.

In this article:

1. Setting up Snap Pixel

To connect Snapchat to Checkify, you need to find your Snap Pixel ID. Just go to:

  1. Go to Assets.

  2. Select Snap Pixel and click on Setup my Pixel.

  3. Find Snap Pixel ID as shown on the picture below and copy it.

Now paste the Snap Pixel ID to the Checkify admin panel. Checkify sends START_CHECKOUT and PURCHASE events to Snapchat Ads Manager. Checkify shares transaction information like price, currency, transaction ID, and the checkout URL with Snapchat Ads Manager.

2. Checking integration and events

Snap has a Chrome extension that allows advertisers to verify and troubleshoot Snap Pixel implementations. You can learn more about it in the Snap Business Help Center. You can download the Snap Pixel Helper from Google Chrome Webstore.

To check if the Pixel collects all the events correctly, create a Checkify checkout on your store. Place a test order and check the extension for the "Payment completed" event. Click on the Snap Pixel Helper to get this information.

Note that you may not be able to see the Pixel and its events in the Snap Pixel Helper because of cookie blockers. Even if you don't have any specific extensions to block cookie files, your browser can still do that.

If Snap Pixel Helper hasn't detected a Pixel on your checkout page, try again using an Incognito tab. By doing so you will disable all possible cookie blockers. To check the Pixel in Incognito mode you need to enable usage of the Snap Pixel Helper in Incognito mode. Go to the extension settings to do so:

  1. Right-click on the Snap Pixel Helper icon in the bookmarks bar. Select "Manage Extensions". Or press the three vertical dots next to the icon of the extension to open "More options" menu and select "Manage extension".

  3. Create a Checkify checkout with any product from your store in Incognito mode and check if the extension can track Snap Pixel.

3. Resolving common issues

🙀 My Snap Pixel works in the test mode, but I don't receive real events.

Unfortunately, some of your customers use browsers with cookie blockers, which affect the tracking quality for all pixels. We are trying to use server-side integration for those platforms that support it: Facebook, TikTok are already covered.
